I realize that the CI builds that I referred to above are for compiling Dynare against MATLAB.
Still, I do confirm that I am able to compile Dynare against the Octave and SuiteSparse from Homebrew. The configuration options passed to meson are:
-Dbuild_for=octave -Dbuildtype=debugoptimized '-Dfortran_args=[ '"'"'-B'"'"', '"'"'/Users/sebastien/slicot/arm64'"'"' ]' --native-file=/Users/sebastien/dynare/macOS/homebrew-native-arm64.ini
(Slicot has been compiled locally as a prerequisite)
However we regularly verify that Dynare can be built with Homebrew, and as far as I know there is no problem building Dynare 6.0.
How do you check this? Because upon making the update PR the build immediately failed, so there might be some discrepancies.
We do both manual and automated builds with Homebrew, both on x86-64 and arm64. For example, see these logs (you want to skip the dependency builds at the beginning):
All those builds use the SuiteSparse package directly from Homebrew.
